Position Overview:
We are looking for a strategic and result-oriented General Manager Sales & Marketing to lead our Personal Care product division. The role involves driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, strengthening brand positioning, and building a high-performing sales and marketing team across domestic and international markets.
Role & responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Strategy & Revenue Planning:
- Design and implement long-term and short-term sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Develop annual operating plans including revenue projections, sales forecasting, and budget allocation.
- Define monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets and ensure structured tracking mechanisms.
- Identify high-growth markets, new geographies, and emerging consumer segments.
2. B2B & B2C Market Expansion:
- Drive B2B business through distributors, institutional sales, contract manufacturing partnerships, and bulk buyers.
- Expand B2C presence across retail chains, modern trade, general trade, and e-commerce platforms.
- Strengthen export sales and international distribution networks.
- Develop customized commercial models for different sales channels.
3. Sales Operations & Performance Management:
- Lead nationwide sales operations ensuring target achievement and profitability.
- Monitor primary and secondary sales performance with structured review systems.
- Optimize pricing frameworks, margin structures, and trade schemes.
- Ensure disciplined sales MIS reporting and performance analytics.
4. Brand Strategy & Market Positioning:
- Establish strong brand identity and differentiated positioning in the personal care segment.
- Direct new product launches including go-to-market strategies.
- Oversee packaging development and ensure market-aligned presentation standards.
5. Key Account & Commercial Management:
- Develop strategic relationships with major retail chains, distributors, and online marketplaces.
- Lead commercial negotiations and finalize high-value contracts.
- Strengthen trade marketing execution and in-store visibility programs.
6. Demand Planning & Cross-Functional Integration:
- Align sales forecasts with production and supply chain planning to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Collaborate with R&D and QA/QC for product performance enhancements and regulatory alignment.
- Ensure smooth coordination between finance and sales for budget control and profitability tracking.
7. Leadership & Organizational Development:
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales and marketing team.
- Establish measurable KPIs and conduct structured performance evaluations.
Preferred candidate profile
Qualifications:
- MBA in Marketing / Sales / Business Administration (Preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline Experience:
- 20+ years of progressive experience in Sales & Marketing
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity
- Mandatory exposure to Personal Care / FMCG / Cosmetics / Consumer Products sector (Herbal industry preferred).
