We are looking for a proactive and quality-focused Production Supervisor to oversee daily production activities while ensuring compliance with GMP standards, safety regulations, and operational excellence.

 

Role Purpose

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating daily manufacturing operations to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with GMP, SOPs, and quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

  • Supervise day-to-day manufacturing activities for tablets, capsules, powders, syrups, herbal extracts, gummies, effervescent tablets, sachets, oral liquids, cosmetics, personal care, and other product formulations manufactured by the company.
  • Ensure production activities are completed as per approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), production schedules, and quality standards.
  • Monitor manpower utilization, machine efficiency, and production output to achieve daily production targets.
  • Coordinate shift activities and ensure uninterrupted production

GMP Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare, review, and maintain GMP documentation, including:
    • Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR)
    • Batch Packing Records (BPR)
    • SOPs
    • Equipment Log Books
    • Cleaning Records
    • Line Clearance Records
    • Production Registers
    • Material Reconciliation Reports
    • Equipment Usage Logs
  • Ensure all production documentation is completed accurately and in a timely
  • Maintain compliance with WHO-GMP, AYUSH GMP, Schedule M, cGMP, and internal quality systems.

Production Planning & Coordination

  • Coordinate with QA, QC, Warehouse, Procurement, Engineering, Maintenance, R&D, and Packaging departments.
  • Ensure timely availability of raw materials, packing materials, and production
  • Support production planning and execution based on business

Equipment & Process Management

  • Ensure proper operation, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and calibration of production equipment.
  • Monitor machine performance and coordinate maintenance activities when
  • Support equipment qualification, process validation, and technology transfer

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure adherence to approved manufacturing processes and
  • Report deviations, incidents, breakdowns, and non-conformities
  • Participate in investigations related to deviations, CAPA, change controls, and root cause analysis.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, productivity improvement, and waste reduction

Safety & Housekeeping

  • Ensure strict adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety)
  • Maintain clean production areas in accordance with GMP and 5S
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with PPE

Team Management

  • Supervise and guide Production Operators, Technicians, and
  • Conduct on-the-job training on GMP, SOPs, hygiene, safety, and production
  • Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and employee
  • Foster teamwork and a culture of continuous

Required Skills

  • Good understanding of GMP, AYUSH GMP, WHO-GMP, and Schedule M
  • Knowledge of herbal, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or personal care manufacturing processes.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining production
  • Understanding of Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), Batch Packing Records (BPR), SOPs, and production logs.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and process
  • Good communication, coordination, and leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of CAPA, Deviation Management, Change Control, and Root Cause
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally ERP, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and production
  • Experience handling audits by QA, Regulatory Authorities, or
  • Exposure to technology transfer, validation, and scale-up
